| .id is a company of demographers, housing analysts, forecasters and Census data experts who have developed on-line demographic and economic information products. .id stands for "informed decisions" and our work is to provide decision makers within government, business and the wider community with readily accessible, easy to use and understand information about local populations and how they are changing. We share a lot of our insights through the .id blog. We develop online information products specifically for Local Government decision makers. We have delivered over 500 websites containing demographic information about local areas to more than 220 councils in Australia & New Zealand. In doing so we have profiled around 75% of the population. Collectively we call this body of work the .id community. It is a public resource that can be accessed here. Our belief is that by making demographic information accessible to the broadest possible audience and promoting evidence-based decision making, we are contributing to a fairer and more sustainable society. The team's latest project has been building highly detailed population forecasts for the whole of Victoria at the CCD (Census Collection District) level and smaller.
