NatStats Awards

The NatStats Board, along with the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) invites you to apply for the NatStats 2010 Conference Awards. These awards recognise excellence in the use of statistics, and development and promotion of statistical capability in the Australian community, within both the media, and education and training, fields.

Entries are invited from individuals and organisations, in both the private and public sectors. Nominations can be made directly, or individuals and organisations can be nominated by a third party.

Award Categories

1. NatStats 2010 Excellence in the use of statistics in the media

2. NatStats 2010 Excellence in the development and promotion of statistical capability in education and training

Winners of NatStats 2010 awards will be announced during the NatStats 2010 Conference gala dinner at Dockside, on 16 September 2010.  Winners will receive complementary conference registration, including the dinner, as well as two complimentary tickets to the presentation ceremony. Additional tickets will be available for purchase from May 2010 from the NatStats 2010 website.

Guidelines and Nomination Form

Nominations are now open for the NatStats 2010 Conference Awards.

So that you can prepare your nomination, the Nomination Guidelines contain the selection criteria for each Award Category, as well as important information on eligibility, the selection process, and requirements for nomination.

The Nomination Form fronts your nomination. It has been created as an auto-form, allowing you to type information directly into the form, then either save, print or email the form.

Nomination forms should be submitted with a detailed description (maximum of one typed A4 page, minimum font size 10pt) of the nomination, addressing each selection criteria separately; a copy of the nominee’s current Curriculum Vitae (maximum 5 pages); and any other supporting creative media.
